Microsoft's Data Analytics Power House
A 7-hour class, instructor led, live student-participation lab, on the foundations of PowerBI's three components: Power Query (data clean up), Power Modeling (data relationships), and Power View (data visualization). Students will learn the fundamental structure of the PowerBi platform using Microsoft-provided public data sets.
YOU WILL LEARN:
- Use and complete multiple Power Query (data clean-up) exercises to become familiar with the automation portion of redundant data prep tasks
- Use Power Modeling (data relationships) to ensure multiple data sets are connected via relationships
- Use Power View to design a data visualization final report and publish to the "My Workspace" location of the PowerBI Service
SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Import multiple data sets and make data corrections using the new tools in Power Query
- Relate the data set fields using the visible workflow diagram in Power Modeling
- Design a visual final report that is publish-worthy and sharable to a team
